Rabat - Brussels: Europe and the Arabs
Following the historic achievement of the Atlas Lions in the World Cup in Qatar and its fourth-place finish, government preparations began in Morocco to participate in a joint organization of the FIFA World Cup finals.
The Moroccan Prime Minister, Aziz Akhannouch, confirmed yesterday, Thursday in Rabat, that his government is mobilized to provide all the conditions for the success of the committee - which will supervise the submission of the file of Morocco's candidacy to jointly host the 2030 FIFA World Cup with Spain and Portugal - in performing its duties.

A statement by the Moroccan government presidency stated that the meeting was attended by the various concerned government sectors, with the aim of studying the arrangements for this file, according to what was reported by the Middle East News Agency.
Akhannouch added that this tripartite nomination constitutes a new horizon in the strategic partnership, and is devoted to a new generation of cooperation and partnerships, and reflects the unification of the efforts and capabilities of the African and European continents.

The statement indicated that during the meeting, the issue was discussed from its various organizational and logistical aspects, and Faouzi Lakjaa, President of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation, made a two-pronged presentation, the first related to the Kingdom's perception of the nomination file, and the second related to the implementation plan.

The Moroccan monarch, King Mohammed VI, entrusted Fawzi Lakjaa, Minister Delegate in charge of the budget and President of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation, to chair the committee in charge of the nomination file.
