Today, Thursday, US Under Secretary of State for Arms Control and International Security, Ambassador Bonnie Jenkins, will begin a two-day visit to the Belgian capital, Brussels. While in Brussels, the Undersecretary will hold meetings at NATO headquarters, co-lead NATO's Arms Control, Disarmament, and Nonproliferation Committee, and meet with her counterparts in the European Union, according to a statement on the US State Department's website.
It is noteworthy that Brussels is the capital of Belgium and the European Union and hosts European institutions and is also the headquarters of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO).
