Media reports reported on Friday morning that a new development of escalation had occurred in the Middle East region. These reports said that within the framework of the ongoing escalation in the Gaza Strip, a missile fell in the Egyptian city of Taba on the border with the Israeli occupation state, wounding 6 citizens, and damaging a building - according to What was reported by Extra News channel.
Informed sources confirmed that there were no deaths in the Taba accident, and that there were minor injuries to 6 citizens, explaining that the damaged building was the Taba City Ambulance building, and the administration housing of the Taba Hospital. Cairo News Channel reported that all six people injured in a missile accident in Taba were discharged from the hospital after receiving treatment, noting that investigations are underway to determine the circumstances of the accident.
Cairo News Channel also quoted a high-ranking source as saying that the destination for launching the missile has not been determined yet, and the accident site is being examined to determine the launch site, confirming that the security forces have arrived at the accident site, and the competent authorities have begun preliminary investigations.
A sovereign source told Cairo News Channel that once the destination of the Taba missile launch is determined, all options are available to deal with it, and Egypt reserves the right to respond at the appropriate time.
Meanwhile, Extra News channel quoted an informed source as saying that an investigation committee from the armed forces arrived at the site of a missile fall in Taba, and that a security cordon had been imposed around the site of the accident.
On the other hand, Itzik Zortz, an Israeli TV correspondent in southern Israel, revealed new details about the missile that fell on the Taba City Ambulance building, injuring two Egyptian citizens and causing damage to the building.
The Israeli television correspondent claimed that investigations were being conducted into whether the missile was launched towards Eilat, but it accidentally fell on the Egyptian Taba.
