The Embassy of the Arab Republic of Egypt in Brussels, the capital of Belgium, and the European Union announced the postponement of the Egyptian Army Day celebration, which was scheduled for next Thursday evening in a hotel.
The Egyptian embassy distributed letters to the invitees telling them to postpone the celebration that it used to organize annually on the occasion of Egyptian Military Day in the month of October, which is the month that witnessed Egypt’s victory over Israel in the war of October 6, 1973, which fell on the tenth of Ramadan of the same year.
The embassy said in an announcement distributed via email that the celebration was postponed due to the situation in Gaza and on the Egyptian border. The embassy thanked the invitees for their understanding.
In past years, a celebration was held on this occasion, in which an invitation was sent to a number of military personnel and diplomats accredited in Brussels from various countries of the world, and in which the Egyptian military’s victory during the October War was recalled, which astonished the world, and what happened is still studied in military academies in various parts of the world and made known. Being aware of the progress and development that the Egyptian army has witnessed during the recent period and its constant readiness to defend the land of Egypt and confront any dangers.
