The European Union urges the parties to the conflict in Sudan to adhere to the international law for the protection of civilians in El Fasher and Habira

Brussels: Europe and Arabs
The European Union said in a statement issued in Brussels that a few days after the rapid support forces and the Sudanese armed forces presented an official commitment to heads of state and the governments of member states of the International Development Organization (IGAD) to stop hostilities and political dialogue, reliable reports indicate that the fighting is spreading to A civil valley in the state of Jesira and El Fasher in North Darfur is still under constant threat of attack.
As a result, the state of emergency was announced in the state of Jizira and human relief must be suspended there. Wadi Madani was a refuge for many conflict and a vital center for human relief.
The European Union has expressed concern about these recent developments. The Rapid Support Forces urge to withdraw from Gezira state and stop fighting in El Fasher. We mention both the Rapid Support Forces and the Sudanese Armed Forces for their obligations under international law to protect civilians and ensure humanitarian access. Those who fail to meet these obligations will be held accountable.
