Brussels: Europe and the Arabs
Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg welcomed nine young content creators from Europe and North America - Belgium, Canada, France, Germany, the United Kingdom and the United States - to NATO Headquarters yesterday, Friday (5 April 2024) as part of the “Protecting the Future” campaign. The campaign aims to raise awareness and support for NATO among young audiences across the Alliance, and give them a voice in NATO's ongoing adaptation process.
NATO headquarters in Brussels published a statement with a photo attached to it, saying, “NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg meets with influential figures on social media.”
The Secretary-General thanked content creators for their interest, and said NATO's 75th anniversary - marked on Thursday - was an opportunity to remind the Alliance's 1 billion citizens of NATO's enduring value in dangerous times.
Together, the nine creators reach millions of followers around the world across major social media platforms. The group also met with senior officials, including Assistant Secretary-General for Public Diplomacy Marie Aldouha Bessancenot and NATO Spokesperson Farah Dakhlallah.
