Luxembourg: Europe and the Arabs
The Council of Ministers for Public Affairs will convene in Brussels, starting next Monday in Luxembourg. The ministers will continue preparations for the European Council meeting, in the presence of leaders of the Union countries in Brussels on June 27 and 28, 2024. The ministers will discuss draft conclusions. In the final statement of the Brussels Summit, EU leaders will address the following:

In a plenary session, Ministers will hold a policy discussion on the Directive on the Transparency of Representation of Interests on behalf of Third States.

As part of the Article 7(1) TEU proceedings relating to Hungary, the Council will hold a hearing.

The European Union Council approved the negotiating frameworks for Ukraine and Moldova to join the unified bloc, according to the Italian AKI agency.
The Belgian presidency - whose rotating presidency of the Council of the European Union ends at the end of this month - announced last weekend that all ambassadors of the EU member states "agreed in principle" to begin accession negotiations for Ukraine and Moldova on Tuesday.
Lithuanian Foreign Minister Gabrielius Landsbergis urged the European Union to start talks with Kiev regarding its membership as soon as possible. Landsbergis said, “Ukraine has already done its duty in implementing the recommendations for starting European Union negotiations, which we need to evaluate accordingly, and start negotiations.” Join as soon as possible.
