On Saturday, Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune sent a message of condolence to King Mohammed VI, King of the sister Kingdom of Morocco, on the death of his mother, the Algerian presidency said in a statement.
The Algerian President extended his condolences to the King of Morocco in his name and in the name of the Algerian people, asking “the Almighty to cover the soul of the deceased with the curtains of his mercy and to join her with the people of goodness and righteousness.” According to what was reported by the Youm 7 website in Cairo from the Middle East News Agency on Sunday morning
The text of the letter read: “To His Majesty King Mohammed VI, King of the sister Kingdom of Morocco... I received with sorrow the news of the return of your mother’s soul to its Creator and Maker. This sad news that befell you and the royal family had a profound impact. In my own name and in the name of the Algerian people, I address your Majesty with my sincerest condolences.” I hope that the Almighty will cover the soul of the deceased with the curtains of His mercy and join her with the people of goodness and righteousness, and be good companions to those.”
The official spokesman for the Moroccan Royal Palace announced - earlier today - the death of the mother of Moroccan King Mohammed VI, Princess Lalla Latifa, the widow of the late King Hassan II.
