The European Union institutions in Brussels said that Josep Borrell, the European foreign policy coordinator, will head to New York, USA, in the coming few days: where he will participate in the 79th session of the United Nations General Assembly; participate in the tripartite meeting of the European Union, the United Nations and the African Union; meet with the Secretary-General of the United Nations, Antonio Guterres; and host the 19th Ministerial Meeting on the Middle East with Mr. Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Qatar.
Ten Palestinians were killed and others were injured, at dawn today, Monday, after the Israeli occupation bombed a house in the Nuseirat camp in the central Gaza Strip.
According to the Palestinian News Agency, local sources reported that the occupation warplanes bombed a house belonging to the Al-Qassas family in the Nuseirat camp, which led to the martyrdom of 10 citizens, including children and women, and the injury of more than 15 others.
The occupation forces have continued their aggression on the Gaza Strip, by land, sea and air, since October 7, 2023, resulting in the martyrdom of 41,206 citizens, the majority of whom are children and women, and the injury of 95,337 others, while thousands of victims are still under the rubble and on the roads, and ambulance and civil defense crews cannot reach them. In the same context, the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a statement, by mistake, condemning the decision of the International Criminal Court to issue arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his Defense Minister Yoav Galant, although no decision has been made yet. According to the Middle East News Agency, the Israeli newspaper "Haaretz" reported on Sunday that the statement was briefly published in English on the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs website, before it was later deleted, after being shared on social media.
The International Criminal Court has been considering, for four months, the request of Attorney General Karim Khan to issue international arrest warrants for Netanyahu, Galant and the head of the political bureau of Hamas, Yahya Sinwar, but no decision has been reached yet, according to the report. An Israeli Foreign Ministry official told the newspaper that the incident was a human error, but acknowledged that the ministry was preparing for the possibility that arrest warrants would soon be issued by the International Criminal Court, which is why a condemnation statement was drafted in advance.
