Cairo - Brussels: Europe and the Arabs
A European statement issued in Brussels said that the European Union's High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Kaya Kallas, is visiting Egypt today, Sunday. During her visit, the European official will meet with Badr Abdel Aty, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Migration. The meeting will be followed by a joint press conference in the afternoon.
The visit program also includes a meeting with the Arab-Islamic Ministerial Committee on Palestine.
According to the European statement issued by the High Representative's Office, this visit will be an opportunity to discuss relations between the European Union and Egypt, the crisis in Gaza, and other regional security challenges.
