The opening of the Egyptian Museum is not just a building; it's reopening a book... By Engineer Ahmed Sebaei

To all Egyptians
We are a people who have never started from scratch.
We have always been adding a new line to lines written thousands of years before us.

The opening of the Grand Egyptian Museum is not just a building.
It's the reopening of a book—a book that belongs to us.

This is a place where you feel time itself stands still in respect for the toil, sweat, and knowledge accumulated over generations.

This museum isn't just for the civilization that once was; it's also for the confidence that is to come.

That we have the ability to stand on our land, to hold our heads high, and to tell the world:
We are a nation still capable of offering something respectable, something cleaner, something worthwhile.

We may argue about politics, we may disagree on choices, but this civilization belongs to all of us.

And we are all partners in this moment—the moment our country's civilization is once again being introduced to the world in its most beautiful and authentic form. May God protect Egypt.

And may He always grant her those who preserve and build, not those who destroy or erase.

Congratulations to us — congratulations to you — congratulations to Egypt.
