Egypt's Supreme Council for Media Regulation held a meeting with sports presenters, journalists, and content creators to discuss supporting the national team in the World Cup and preparations for the new season.

The Sports Media Performance Regulation Committee of the Supreme Council for Media Regulation, chaired by Counselor Abdel Salam El-Naggar, a member of the Council and Vice President of the State Council, held a discussion session at the Council's headquarters in Maspero. The session was attended by sports program presenters, sports journalists, and content creators, with the participation of Engineer Khaled Abdel Aziz, Chairman of the Council. This was according to a statement issued by the Supreme Council for Media in Cairo, which also stated:

Engineer Khaled Abdel Aziz emphasized the Council's great confidence in the sports media system across its various platforms, noting that sports media is a key partner in the success of Egyptian sports.

He added that the aim of these meetings is to build bridges of communication and continuous cooperation with program presenters, journalists, and content creators, in order to create a positive and stable environment that supports national teams and provides viewers and followers with a high-quality media experience based on objectivity and engaging technical analysis, keeping pace with the significant developments in sports worldwide. During the session, emphasis was placed on the necessity of rallying behind and supporting the national team in its upcoming national mission at the FIFA World Cup, to be held in the United States, Canada, and Mexico. This support is crucial for boosting the morale of the players and coaching staff and creating the optimal environment for achieving the best possible results.

The session also discussed preparations for the new sports season and the most effective ways to enhance media coverage, focusing on the importance of adhering to professional standards and codes of conduct. This ensures the delivery of high-quality, objective sports content that meets the expectations of the public.

The session featured a fruitful dialogue on mechanisms for promoting a culture of sportsmanship and rejecting fanaticism in the media and on social media platforms. Attendees stressed the vital role of sports media as a mirror of society and a key partner in shaping public awareness and guiding public behavior. The participants explained that a balanced media message is not limited to simply reporting events and matches, but extends to being a fundamental tool in instilling the values ​​of sportsmanship and elevating viewers' taste by focusing on technical and analytical content. This ensures the creation of a healthy sporting environment that supports both national teams and clubs. They agreed to coordinate efforts to provide balanced content that promotes the values ​​of fair play and highlights sportsmanship both on and off the field.

At the end of the session, the attendees expressed their optimism for the new season, emphasizing their aspiration to present high-quality sports media that focuses on engaging technical analysis and reflects the civilized and honorable image of the Egyptian sports system. Egyptian journalist Mohamed Abdullah, from Channel One, posted on his personal Facebook account the statement issued by the Supreme Council for Media Regulation, writing: "I was honored to participate in a dialogue session about supporting the national team during its participation in the 2026 World Cup, in addition to preparations for the new Premier League season, at the kind invitation of the Supreme Council for Media Regulation, headed by His Excellency Minister Khaled Abdel Aziz."

According to the statement, the following individuals participated in the session on behalf of the Committee for Regulating Sports Media Performance: Mr. Mohamed El-Gohary, Head of Egyptian Television; journalist Ayman Badra; Mr. Abdel Fattah Hassan, former Head of the Nile Specialized Channels Sector; Mr. Mohamed Adel Maher, media expert; and journalist Abeer Anwar. The session was also attended by a number of prominent media figures and journalists, including refereeing expert Gamal El-Ghandour, a presenter on Al-Mehwar TV; Karim Hassan, a presenter on Al-Hayat TV; Islam Sadek, a presenter on Ten TV; journalists Amr El-Dardiri, Abu El-Maati Zaki, and Tarek Ramadan; Hamdi El-Husseini, head of ON Sport FM radio; Othman Abaza, senior broadcaster on ON Sport FM; Karim Ramzy, a presenter on ON Sport TV; Shadi Issa, a presenter on ON Sport FM radio; Captain Hazem Emam, a sports analyst on ON Sport TV; and Dr. Nadia El-Nashar, head of Youth and Sports Radio.
