
Germany: Arrest of the leader of the Jund al-Rahman Brigade. It committed terrorist acts and war crimes in eastern Syria.

The German authorities arrested two Syrians on suspicion of belonging to two extremist groups, and one of them is suspected of being involved in an attack in 2013 in eastern Syria that killed more than 60 people.
The German Federal Prosecutor's Office said in a statement Thursday that the two suspects, identified only as "Amer A." And “Basil A.” In line with German privacy rules, they were arrested on Wednesday. Both are accused of belonging to the foreign terrorist organization Liwa Jund al-Rahman, an armed terrorist group that prosecutors said Amer formed in February 2013 and led.
The accusations relate to committing war crimes in an attack that occurred in June 2013 in the village of Hatla in Deir ez-Zor Governorate, eastern Syria, which led to the death of about 60 people.
Prosecutors reported that the attack was jointly carried out by the "Jund al-Rahman Brigade" under the leadership of Amer and other extremist groups. According to a publication on the Youm7 website in Cairo on Friday morning
Prosecutors stated that survivors of the attack were forced to flee to other places in Syria or abroad by deliberately inciting fear of death, as well as by burning and looting.
