A British authority announces that a ship was attacked off Aden

London: Agencies
The British Maritime Trade Operations Authority said that a ship that was traveling 50 nautical miles southeast of the Yemeni city of Aden reported on Friday two explosions at sea that occurred in front of it.
The British Maritime Trade Operations Authority stated that the ship was not attacked or damaged and that the crew members are safe.
The authority explained, quoting the captain of the ship targeted in the attack, that it headed to the next port of call. She added that the authorities are investigating the incident, while Ambrei Maritime Security Company said that it is aware of an accident occurring about 52 nautical miles south of Aden and is investigating it.
The Houthi "Ansar Allah" group said earlier that Washington and London bear the repercussions of the "militarization" of the Red Sea, stressing that targeting Israeli ships or those heading to Israel aims to pressure an end to the war on Gaza.
The "Ansar Allah" group targets cargo ships in the Red Sea owned and operated by Israeli companies that transport goods to and from Israel, in support of the Palestinian people in Gaza, while the United States and its allies, "in response", formed a military force to deal with the Houthi strikes. Earlier, American and British aircraft launched numerous strikes on various areas in Yemen.
