Palestinian media reported that three were killed in an Israeli bombing targeting eastern Bani Suhaila in Khan Yunis, south of the Gaza Strip.
The Israeli occupation continues its aggression against the Gaza Strip, on land, sea and air, since the seventh of last October, leaving more than 32 thousand martyrs, the majority of whom are children and women, and more than 74 thousand injuries, an infinite toll, and thousands of victims are still under the rubble and on the roads. The occupation prevents ambulance and civil defense crews from reaching them.
For his part, French Foreign Minister Stephane Ségornet proposed imposing sanctions on Israel to allow aid to enter the Gaza Strip, according to urgent news from the Cairo News Channel.
While the Government Information Office in the Gaza Strip announced, on Monday, that there are more than one million cases of infectious diseases as a result of displacement in the Gaza Strip, which has been exposed to a devastating Israeli war for more than half a year.
In a related development, Russia's representative to the United Nations, Vasily Nebenzia, said yesterday, Monday, that the UN Security Council will meet within two weeks to consider Palestine's request to join the United Nations as a permanent member.
On the other hand, the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) said that the delivery of life-saving aid to Gaza continues to face obstacles due to Israel's imposition of restrictions and its rejection of planned aid movements.
During March, more than half of UN-coordinated food missions to high-risk areas requiring coordination with Israeli authorities were rejected or hindered.
At a press conference held in New York on Monday, UN spokesman Stephane Dujarric said that there is “only one main road designated for the access of humanitarian workers between southern and northern Gaza - with only limited use so far of the so-called fence road on the eastern border of Gaza.”
Despite these restrictions, the United Nations and its partners continue to provide humanitarian assistance to civilians in Gaza “wherever and whenever we can,” according to Mr. Dujarric.
