Time Management: The Golden Skill of Our Time. Prepared by Dr. Abdel Moneim Sedky, Professor at the Research Center, Egypt

In an age of accelerating events, crowded tasks, and intertwined priorities, time has become one of the most scarce and important resources in human life. Success in this era is not measured solely by the ability to accomplish things, but rather by the ability to do the right thing at the right time. This is where time management skills emerge as one of the golden keys to professional excellence, personal balance, and psychological well-being.
Time management is an essential aspect of human life, as it involves organizing work time to accomplish tasks effectively. Time management techniques include setting SMART goals, prioritizing and organizing tasks, and dividing them into multiple time periods. Consistency, avoiding distractions, maintaining good health, holding meetings only when necessary, using the Pomodoro Technique, effective studying, delegating tasks, and organizing workspaces are all essential to effective time management.
Time management is the ability to plan, organize, and allocate available time across various daily activities in a way that ensures maximum efficiency and minimal stress. To understand this skill, we must change our view of time. "Time is not something we own, but something we live and use well."
Time management is important in a person's life. Time management doesn't just mean increasing productivity; it also includes reducing stress and tension when a person knows what to do, when, and how. This reduces pressure and allows them to feel in control of their day. Achieving balance between personal and professional life is achieved by allocating clear times for work, rest, and time for family and self.
The quality of achievement must be enhanced. Instead of randomness and distraction, every effort becomes directed toward a clear goal. An organized person finds time for contemplation and reflection, while a distracted person unconsciously chases time. We fail at time management simply because we lack awareness of priorities. We don't plan our days. Most people fall into the trap of distractions (phone calls, messages, sudden tasks).
Some people think that "busyness" is a sign of success. The most successful people appear "less busy" because they get things done and know when to say "no."

There are practical steps to effective time management, including setting priorities. The necessary tasks are planned. Implementation is done, and unimportant tasks are delegated or ignored. Develop a daily and weekly plan. Before bed, write down three tasks for the next day. Each week, review your goals, set a schedule, eliminate distractions, and turn off notifications. Set aside time to work. Use the Pomodoro Technique: 25 minutes of work + 5 minutes of rest = greater focus and less fatigue.
One of the enemies of time is procrastination, which is unjustifiably postponing tasks. Dividing large tasks into smaller ones requires immediate implementation. Multitasking means working on more than one thing at the same time, focusing on a single task. Ineffective meetings waste more time than they are useful.
Time management is not just a technical skill; it is a personal decision and daily will that requires discipline, awareness, and consistency. A person who manages their time skillfully manages their life with confidence. In a world of distraction and busyness, this skill becomes the difference between failure and success.
